Job Responsibilities The Senior Estimator - Excavation & Demolition Construction will join our clients' team in Washington, DC.
This individual will report to the Vice President of Estimating, and will be responsible for providing preconstruction services for multiple excavation and demolition projects across the metro area.
Additional responsibilities of the Senior Estimator - Excavation & Demolition Construction include:
Reviewing bid drawings (eg civil, architectural and structural) to determine the extent of the work scope in preparation of the estimate Attending jobsite walkthroughs and documenting site conditions as part of the initial pre-bid process Reviewing geotechnical reports and environmental reports for soil analysis information and potential risks Reviewing and defining work scopes as estimates are assembled Providing quantitative take-offs using Procore software and reviewing take-offs of junior estimators to ensure accuracy Effectively working independently and in a team environment; providing oversight and guidance for junior estimators in conjunction with VP of Estimating Multitasking effectively and meeting deadlines Job Requirements:
Specific qualifications for the Senior Estimator - Excavation & Demolition Construction include:
Ten (10) or more years of estimating experience, to include:
Ability to read plans/drawings and apply them to real scope requirements Strong arithmetic skills to complete quantitative analysis Two (2) or more years of leadership experience, to include:
Coaching junior professionals Managing projects or people Strong technical skills, including proficiency with:
