Learn more about this agency Responsibilities Reviews, advises on, and conducts complex analysis and investigations in support of major geographic studies, projects, or geographic programs critical to the agency involving remote sensing technology.
Plans and conducts experimental studies involving remote sensing or Geographic Information Systems techniques that result in clarifying complex.
Prepares authoritative and comprehensive reports based upon personal observations as well as upon the synthesis and analysis of a wide variety of established remote sensing data drawn from related studies and research Attends formal and informal meetings and conferences as the organization representative to present authoritative geographic information, to explain agency programs, and to exchange mutually beneficial information.
Travel Required Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.

Qualifications Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the 06/08/2021 of the announcement including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined above.
Time in grade:
Current federal employees applying for a promotion opportunity must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirement of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled.
BASIC REQUIREMENT FOR 1301:
Degree:
physical science, engineering, or mathematics that included 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science such as mechanics, dynamics, properties of materials, and electronics.
or Combination of education and experience -- education equivalent to one of the majors shown in A above that included at least 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
In addition to meeting one of the Basic Requirements listed above, applicants must meet the following Minimum Qualifications Requirement in order to be considered:
Specialized
Experience:
To qualify for this position, you must possess at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the Federal GS -11 level or higher in the Federal service, or comparable experience.
Specialized experience includes:
Utilizing GIS software and development tools in order to create extensions, interfaces, and applications to streamline and model GIS functions.
Testing and evaluating GIS systems and subsystems to improve service and expand capacity.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (eg, Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (eg, professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education College Transcript:
If you are qualifying based on education, submit a copy of your college transcript that lists college courses detailing each course by the number and department (ie, bio 101, math 210, etc.
), course title, number of credit hours and grade earned.
You must submit with your application package evidence that any education completed in a foreign institution was appropriately accredited by an accredited body recognized by the Secretary of the US Department of Education as equivalent to US Education standards.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
