Global Clinical Supply Relationship Manager

The Global Clinical Supply organization within our company's Research Laboratories manages the 'end-to-end' integrated clinical supply chain.
Global Clinical Supply supports all Phase I-IV clinical programs and is accountable for the delivery of clinical supplies to clinical sites around the world.
The Relationship Management team is an enabling function within Global Clinical Supply with a focus on business development, operational excellence, and vendor management.
The Relationship Management team collaborates with stakeholders to build vendor relationships and deliver increasing supply chain value by matching business needs with external capabilities.
The Relationship Management team enables the outsourcing of clinical supply chain activities through global process development and support.
Primary Duties (including but not limited to):

Responsible for Global Clinical Supply vendor management related to the sourcing of clinical supply chain services with a focus on business development, operational excellence, and business health.

Participate in the Contractor Oversight Committee and other forums as needed.

Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver supply chain value matching business needs with vendor capabilities.

Navigator between service providers and business units.

Establish governance structures to ensure business continuity; maintain relationship health; and promote clinical supply chain strategy.

Evaluate service line category trends (benchmarking); understand market participants; assess external supplier capability; and explore new service offerings for sourcing strategy consideration.

Establish business service level needs that will feed into sourcing process and contract negotiations.

Maintain Business Relationship Plans; governance structure; and strategic initiatives roadmaps.

Drive vendor performance improvements through get well plans, change management, and assessment of Corrective Action and Preventive Action effectiveness.

Maintain global consistency in the relationship activities/processes.

Establish and maintain communication plans.

Analyze, present, and leverage Key Performance Indicators to drive vendor performance, quality, and financial stewardship.

Participate in risk management (business continuity plans and vendor rationalization).

Apply knowledge of internal/external business challenges to improve products, processes, or services.

Apply regulatory/ compliance requirements to assigned service line
Interpret client and/or customer needs and identify solutions to non-standard requests.

Analyze difficult issues and work to build alignment around a complex solution.

Accountable for a medium project with minimal resource requirements, risk and/or complexity.

Forecasts, plans and monitors small projects and/or service level agreements for vendors Educational Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in life science, engineering, or business and at least 3 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in manufacturing, packaging, and/or distribution.
Knowledge and Skills:

Demonstrated vendor management experience in pharmaceutical industry.

Ability to use of Key Performance Indicators to influence outcomes.

Ability to project manage cross-functional, multi-company, international operating teams.

Ability to influence outcomes without direct reporting relationships.

Skilled user of presentations to align stakeholders for initiatives and reporting results.

Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices in the pharmaceutical industry
Ability to think critically in addressing issues such as investigations and complaints.

Proven analytical skills, detail oriented
Interpersonal skills in verbal and written communication, ability to negotiate, resolve conflicts and engage in decision making to partner and influence.

Excellent computer skills including Microsoft applications.

Proven organization skills.

Strong time management skills; ability to multi-task.

Demonstrated high level of initiative and ability to function independently with minimal or no daily supervision.
