Education Program Assistant (Part Time) - Surgery

Position Summary Perform a variety of duties pertaining to the department's education programs within the Department of Surgery and between Surgery sub-specialty areas.
Work closely with the director, administrator, and education offices.
Demonstrates exceptional organizational skills, ability to prioritize work, problem-solving skills, effective written and verbal communications skills, proficient computer skills including online resources and applications, and ability to adapt and adjust to new or changing situations.
Participate in institutional and departmental meetings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Other duties may be assigned.
Maintains all files for applicants to education programs, notifies applicants of incomplete files, and arranges resident applicant interviews as indicated by the Programs Administrator and processes paperwork necessary for program.
Works with the GME office to complete necessary forms, surveys, data collection, and inquiries regarding the program.

Maintains resident leave records, resident manual, resident correspondence, and resident personnel files.
Assist with processing paperwork for resident yearly promotions, payment of fees for resident Board examinations, CME reimbursement, and books/periodical reimbursements within department guidelines for program.
Assist with distributes resident evaluation forms to all full-time and volunteer faculty.
Orders supplies if needed for program.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
