Broadcast / IT Engineer

The Broadcast / IT Engineer operates, maintains, updates and repairs hardware and systems used for broadcasting and business operations.
Maintains all broadcast technology and equipment for the stationInstalls and tests new systems and technical infrastructure for the stationMinimizes service interruptions at times of equipment and/or system failure by rapidly identifying and implementing solutionsSets up and operates equipment and transmission links during outside broadcastsInstalls and maintains the IT network, switches, data backups, work stations and printersInterprets and implements instructions and requests from other station personnelCommunicates with members of the engineering team and other teams to effectively resolve equipment and system issuesPerforms other duties as assigned Requirements & Skills :
Technical degree in Digital Electronics, Broadcasting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experienceFluency in EnglishExcellent communication skills, both oral and writtenValid driver's license with an acceptable driving recordMinimum three years' experience with digital electronics systems in a television broadcasting environmentExperience with fiber connectivity, video production systems, A/V routing and patching, audio equipment, graphics systems and editing systemsExperience with digital transmitters, microwave equipment, and other broadcast-related equipmentExperience with troubleshooting IP/Ethernet data networksAbility to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
