This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, The Office of Public Affairs, in Washington, District of Columbia.

Learn more about this agency Responsibilities As a Photographer, you will perform the following duties:
Serve as a photographer, providing expertise and state-of-the-art skill in taking photographs; Enhance photographs and visual representations for use in communicating the mission and impact of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE); Advise ICE, Office of Public Affairs (OPA) senior managers on the operational performance and capabilities of still camera configurations and laboratory equipment; Attend meetings and briefings with ICE and OPA leadership; and Serve as photo editor for the agency to ensure the proper capturing, processing, distributing, and archiving of all still imagery.

Probationary Period:
This is a full-time permanent position (Career/Career-Conditional appointment).
Upon appointment to this position, you may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
Qualifications You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as:
Directing photographic quality control; Managing priorities and time constraints; Managing the integration of photography software and compatibility between software; and Determining optimal photography setting and required equipment.

National Service Experience (ie, volunteer experience):
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (eg, Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (eg, professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Current or Former Political Appointees:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
