Learn more about this agency Responsibilities You will serve as the Deputy Director, National CG Museum, providing organizational leadership and overseeing the administrative management of the museum, including implementation of strategic objectives and organizational initiatives.

Typical work assignments include:
Developing, coordinating and executing policies and procedures affecting all areas of Museum operations.
Assuming primary responsibility for the coordination of strategic planning for the Museum.
Establishing and maintaining cooperative and effective working relationships, convening weekly staff meetings, creating agenda and providing status updates.
Developing, analyzing and evaluating new or modified program/management policies, regulations, goals or objectives.
Supervising all museum administrative areas in accordance with the museum's strategic and operations plan.
Travel Required Occasional travel - Occasional travel is required.

This includes Time-In-Grade requirements for current status employees applying through merit promotion procedures.
Status applicants applying for a promotion must have 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade.
Qualifications AT THE GS-14 LEVEL:
Applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
Examples of specialized experience include:
managing multiple programs related to the collections and research of a museum or cultural institution; planning and implementing public relations and/or marketing/social media; planning, directing and implementing activities that support the research needs of a museum; leading an educational or exhibits program for an organization; managing the research or development in areas of education or museum exhibits.
National Service Experience (ie, volunteer experience):
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (eg, Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (eg, professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.
If you are currently, or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule, C, Non-career SES or Presidential Appointee employee in the Executive Branch, you must disclose this information to the Human Resources Office.
Education This position does not have a positive education requirement.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
