Technical Writer

ECS is seeking a Technical Writer to work in our Washington, DC office.
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a meticulous and creative Technical Writer to join our team supporting cyber technical and information sharing services for the Department of Homeland Security's Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).
This role will work closely with clients, stakeholders, and other contract staff to iteratively create external strategic documentation, requirements and capabilities documentation, technical reference and operational artifacts, and more.
The ideal candidate should be adept at distilling complex technical concepts into clear, engaging, messaging that resonates with target audiences and drives impactful outcomes.
About the Job Author/create, edit, proofread, and periodically update written documentation, including but not limited to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), technical and marketing materials, e-mail templates, presentation materials, and style guides.
Interview subject matter experts to extract pertinent information for document creation on a variety of subjects.
Create documentation templates for end-users; populate templates with boilerplate language, relative content, and style tools (eg, automated table of contents, style tools from Word, etc.
).
Maintain responsibility for the delivery of work products.
Collaborate on the implementation of standardized processes and deliverables.
Collaborate with our clients and our creative team to develop, enrich, and evolve our clients' core messaging and brand identity.
Required Skills:
Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance Mastery of plain language writing, especially when conveying technical information Experience working in a fast-paced/Agile environment Extensive knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Excellent analytical and business presentation skills Desired Skills:
Active DHS clearance is a plus 5

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
