Technical Writer
ECS is seeking a Technical Writer to work in our Washington DC office.
Job Description:
Collect, analyze, compose, and translate technical information into clear, readable documents to be used by both technical and non- technical personnel Obtain data from technical staff by directly interacting with them and assist in the creation of technical documentation when needed Create processes and procedures, user manuals, training materials, installation guides, and reports Edit requirements functional descriptions, system specifications, user manuals, special reports, or any other customer deliverables and documents Required Skills:
US Citizenship is required Ability to obtain government security clearance Minimum of four years' experience in writing and editing technical documentation for technical systems in accordance with established writing standards Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals Experience with Agile development methodologies Desired Skills:
Experience with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence Experience in all phases of the systems engineering life cycle (SELC) including initial design/analysis through deployment Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non- technical users Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Team player, with strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively communicate and share knowledge with contacts at all levels.
