Job
Summary:
Will report to the Project Administration & Finance Manager. Position is responsible for a full range of contract and procurement activities. Individual will manage the contract activity for a DC Government contract involving sewer, storm water and tunneling. Assist in preparing RFP requests, contacting potential subcontractors and suppliers, and negotiating and concluding agreements. Analysis of proposals in order to determine contract compliance. Agreements will be monitored on a regular basis and modifications will be issued as needed. Works with other company personnel in developing and periodically updating different types of contract forms to ensure that Owner clauses are current and that the company acquisition policies are adhered to. Maintain a current knowledge of contracting regulations including interpretation of contractual provisions. Review contractual documents (contracts, drawings, subcontracts, teaming agreements, union agreements, and non-disclosure agreements) to ensure adherence to company policies, government specifications and industry standards. Work will be performed at a jobsite office complex in Washington, DC. This person will also perform special projects as needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in construction management, engineering, business administration,
architecture, a related field or equivalent experience.
2. 3-5 years of related experience in construction Contracts and Procurement Administration.
3. Experience and knowledge of Federal, State or Local government contract laws, regulations,
policies and procedures concerning construction projects.
4. Ability to understand and communicate information from specifications and drawings.
5. Experience with government minority subcontracting programs for MBE and WBE firms.
6. Strong computer skills are needed.
7. Strong technical, oral, written and interpersonal communication skills are required.
8. Experience with heavy construction sewer and drainage tunnels and shafts would be a plus.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
