Performs a wide variety of skilled and complex clerical functions using a computer and the Hospital Information System. Greets and interviews patients to collect appropriate data. Creates patient records and/or enters orders into the computer. Receives visitors and telephone call, refers to appropriate staff. Sets up patient appointments; prepares patient folders for clinicians; billing and receiving patients for services; prepares cash disbursements; and overseeing office and equipment maintenance.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High school graduate or equivalent. PC experience required. Previous experience working in a health care setting to include rehabilitation terminology and insurance requirements preferred or any combination of education and experience to provide the required knowledge, skill and ability.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
