Founded and incorporated in 1984, L&T; is a woman-owned business enterprise based in Falls Church, VA. L&T; is dedicated to managing fitness and wellness programs for individuals and organizations across the country.
Opportunities for Summer 2014 are filled. Applications are currently being accepted for Fall 2014.
Interns work in corporate, government or hospital based fitness centers and provide fitness programming for the members. General responsibilities include; fitness floor supervision, fitness assessments, group exercise instruction, equipment maintenance, and fitness programming. The internship experience is designed to prepare students for an entry level fitness specialist opportunities are available in Fitness Management Operations in over 40 fitness facilities the following states.

Qualified students participate in full-time and part-time internships year round. L&T;'s internship program offers students an exciting opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in a hands-on, practical health fitness environment. L&T; interns receive training in the following areas:
Exercise Testing and Programming
Health Promotion
Health Screening
Health Coaching
Special Event Planning
Customer Service
Equipment Maintenance
Risk Management
Finance and Billing
Exercise Class Instruction
Internship candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:
Current enrollment in a health/fitness-related degree program
Current CPR , AED and First Aid certifications
Full and part-time positions are available
Stipends are available for qualified interns committing to an internship lasting at least 8 weeks.

Job Code: INTERNEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
