L-3 National Security Solutions has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, highly skilled, self-directed, Connection Approval Lead supporting the Army's Computer Network Defense System.
The Connection Approval Lead Position provides technical oversight in support of the clients Team. The Connection Approval Lead will provide expertise and direction regarding Network Security and Army IA policies, guidance and standards. The Lead will be responsible to prepare, distribute, and maintain plans, instructions, SOPs and POA&Ms; concerning system security.
Successful candidate must:
have strong written and oral communications skills and present products and ideas in a business-like manner.
be experienced in interfacing with US military organizations, including senior uniformed and civilian operations and IT staff, system and network administrators, and system users.
be competent in many areas of information systems security, including networks, applications, operating systems (Windows, Unix, and Linux), databases, and virtual desktop infrastructure (Citrix and VMWare).
be fluent with common security vulnerabilities, design and configuration flaws, and security best practices.
understand DoD certification and accreditation (C&A;) policies and practices, including the DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) in particular.
Qualifications
Top Secret Clearance
Demonstrate expert-level knowledge in planning, directing, and managing Connection Approval operations in an organization similar in size to this acquisition;
Demonstrate expert knowledge of DOD Information Assurance Certification Accreditation Process, DODd 8500.1 and DODI 8500.2
Demonstrated knowledge of Plan of Actions and Milestones, Executive Vulnerability Summary Reports
Demonstrated knowledge of tenant security plans and connection approval processes
Demonstrate expert-level knowledge and management of contractor employees of various labor categories and technical skill levels in efforts similar in size and scope as this acquisition;
Demonstrate expert-level knowledge of Army standards, Connection Approval techniques, actions and best practices related to Connection Approval
Demonstrate experience in a DOD or IT environment;
Demonstrate a successful track record on delivering on time and within budget for with large/complex projects;
Demonstrate experience with researching and connection issues;
Demonstrate experience interacting with and briefing senior government leaders
3 or more years in IT Security and Connection Approval
3 or more years in IT Security and CND Incident Response experience in Army, DOD, or IC;
Shall possess or be able to obtain, and retain, equivalent level IAM II certification
Position is contingent upon contract award
