Key Role:
Provide subject matter expertise in air traffic control, air traffic management, and airspace security and aviation safety in support of diverse federal clients in an interagency setting. Provide subject matter leadership and guidance in the development of interagency strategies for priority research areas, including identifying required research, development, and transition activities. Provide subject matter expertise in the development of interagency concepts of operations, research roadmaps, and planning documents. Plan, coordinate, and facilitate interagency workgroup meetings, including arranging and coordinating meetings and conference calls. Draft briefing materials, prepare presentations, and write and edit reports working in a team and an individual product delivery environment.
Basic
Qualifications:
-25 years of experience with air traffic control and air traffic management
-Experience with providing subject matter leadership of and guidance on interagency strategies, research, development, and transition activities
-Experience with developing multi-slide briefings and presentations for senior leadership
Additional
Qualifications:
-Experience with research and development (R&D) programs and projects preferred
-Knowledge of Unmanned Aircraft systems performance
-Knowledge of Air Navigation Service Provider operations
-Knowledge of the Joint Planning and Development Office, the FAA NextGen Interagency Planning Office, and toolset preferred
-Knowledge of Aviation safety and security
-Knowledge of Airline Operations Center or Flight Operations Center
-Knowledge of next generation Air transportation system concepts and capabilities
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-BA or BS degree
