This internship will support the NPR Music Department in its video endeavors.
/It will require regular travel from DC to NYC (transportation/lodging/travel expenses will be supplied) and occasional late nights/odd hours./
o Assisting in production of videos for NPR Music, from researching locations, transporting gear, running cables and operating cameras for live concert video shoots, working closely with lead video producer to shoot Field Recordings, Tiny Desk Concerts, and other projects.
o Post-production of video, including pulling clips, topping & tailing, editing, encoding, and publishing to web.
o Managing archive, keeping an organized system of backing up media.
o Researching production solutions as we modify our workflow and grow our video capabilities.
o Proficiency shooting video with DSLRs
o Working knowledge of Final Cut X
o Highly organized, detail-oriented, technologically savvy
o Ability to follow directions precisely and handle multiple tasks
o Ability to lift 60 lbs
o Being generally awesome and able to work well with awesome people

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
