Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelors Degree in an appropriate field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience is necessary.
Three years of responsible administrative experience in research administration or a related function is necessary.

### Job Duties
Reviews and interprets proposals from subcontractors and contractors to ensure incorporation of all required elements, and accuracy of budgets; and compliance with federal regulations and GWU policy.
Generates subrecipient and contractor agreements for review by the Assistant Director of Administration or Research Administrators modifying each document to include pertinent award terms, regulations, existing precedents and other necessary clauses and attachments.
Prepares independent contractor agreement terms under supervision of Research Administrators.
Coordinates contractor appointments to all grants / contracts with OVPR.
Tracks progress of subagreements and contractor agreements through university system and providers; tracks progress of execution of agreements; works with OVPR Administration in responding to and resolving questions.
Monitors IRB (human subject approval) status for subcontracts and communicates with subcontractors regarding renewals.
Serves as the point of contact to subrecipients, contractors, BSC personnel and Office of the Vice President of Research (OVPR) regarding changes/errors on invoices etc.
Reviews quarterly financial reports from subcontractors (2706's) for incorporation into prime BSC 2706 reports to sponsor. Makes recommendations to the Accounting Manager regarding various reports on an as needed basis.
Maintains all Study-related correspondence, documentation and files.
Prepares A110 and sole source documentation for subcontracts and service agreements.
Reviews and approves invoices for subagreements for accuracy, authorizes payment, and tracks invoices in spreadsheets.
Assures activities are authorized under contracts and grants.
Initiates purchase requisitions for subrecipient and contractor agreements.
On a quarterly basis, performs a thorough check of capitation payment run and tracks payments to clinical centers.
Collaborates with the Research Administrator to establish a scope of work and parameters of independent contractor agreements.
Reviews and processes all related invoices, honoraria, letters, and contractor travel.
Communicates with contractors regarding reimbursements whenever necessary.
Tracks payments to contractor according to executed letter and contract.
Keeps abreast of current industry trends and enhanced professional knowledge and skills through attendance at workshops/seminars or training as appropriate and in accordance with the Biostatistics Center Professional Development Policy
Performs other work-related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
