Summary:
Execute various National Center on Senior Transportation communications activities. Under the direction of the NCST Co-Director and the Communications Specialist, conduct research on promising practices in senior mobility and transportation issues and assist in the development of NCST products, presentations, reports, web and social media materials, and questionnaires.
## Basic
Responsibilities:
Assists with identifying content, writing, and designing materials in multi-media formats, including for:
NCST eNews (e-newsletter)
NCST Update (bi-annual newsletter)
NCST library products (fact sheets, brochures, reports, etc.)
website content
Easter Seals' ExtraNet/Easter Seals Weekly News
Assists with disseminating information, communications, and reports, including identifying audiences and determining delivery mechanisms for each audience.
Employs style guides and branding standards used by NCST and Easter Seals' headquarters.
Assists with identifying, analyzing, compiling, packaging, and publicizing promising practices in senior transportation.
Assists with contributing to the development of new communication strategies.
Assists with preparing materials for training and technical assistance (distance education, webinars) and information and referral.
Assists with contacting and interviewing survey respondents.
Assists with developing and maintaining mailing lists for media outlets and other venues/organizations that have an interest or connection to older adults and transportation-related information and activities.
Assists with keeping accurate records of communications activities, including by entering appropriate information into the SalesForce database.
Assists with covering NCST staffing responsibilities at select events.

Qualifications:
Qualifications include:

Possess interest and basic knowledge of current marketing, public relations or communications strategies.
Possess an interest in working in a non-profit environment, on behalf of older adults or in the field of mobility and transportation.
Excellent grammar and writing skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a dynamic professional team.
Ability to effectively communicate with people in a variety of settings.
Comprehensive personal computing skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of Adobe suite (e.g. InDesign, PhotoShop) preferred.
Responsive and customer-service oriented.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrates qualities of integrity, tact and good judgment.
Interest in working collegially within the Easter Seals organization.
Bachelor's Degree in a related field; current graduate student in marketing, communications, journalism, or public relations.
One or more years of successful experience in marketing, communications, journalism, or public relations other related field.
One or more years of successful experience in working with others.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
