This is a new department with a well-established company that is building this team from the ground floor up.
We are on a mission to recruit a unique, creative, and innovative individual.
While the selected candidate will be hands-on and drive data-driven claims and finance analytics, they are first and foremost a thought leader and strategic partner who collaborates/navigates across business and operational lines.
If you are skilled at directly manipulating, translating, and presenting insurance claims and finance-centric data (visualization/storytelling), this might be your dream job.
While we don't need a coder, we do need an individual that is very comfortable directly navigating, retrieving, manipulating, analyzing, and presenting data.
This is an individual contributor role; there are no FTEs reporting to this position currently.

ABOUT THIS OUTSTANDING CAREER OPPORTUNITYThis high-profile position reports to the Senior Director of Data AnalyticsPartners with business leaders to identify information needs and model solution options to satisfy these needsProvides insights and delivers information to key stakeholders that support the decision-making processWorks with the organization to sustainably produce solutions with precisionResearches and analyzes internal and external data to draw meaningful informational insights to improve patient safety and mitigate future malpractice riskBuilds and maintains an in-depth understanding of the business functions, needs, drivers, and trends from a vertical (within the department) and horizontal (across departments) perspectiveUnderstands business processes and recommends improvements in data management, quality and integrity, process automation, and analytic techniquesCommunicates technical topics to non-technical audiences with limited guidanceResearches and analyzes internal and external data to draw meaningful informational insights to improve claim outcomes and better understand medical malpractice exposureUtilizes business and management consulting acumen to determine informational needs/platforms and discerns and delivers analytic findings to clinical (ie, Physicians, Nursing), business, operational teams, executive leaders (C-Level), and key stakeholdersEffectively communicates to leadership and stakeholders the practical implications of and recommendations derived from complex analysesApplies analytics tools and methods to healthcare centric claims and care delivery dataRecommends and utilizes tools, techniques, and skillsets in developing and maintaining leading-edge analytics capabilitiesSupports projects and project matrix teams across clinical, operational, and business areasMaintains and understands the information architecture and technology platforms and their strengths/weaknesses as they relate to information and dataUnderstands business processes and recommends improvements in data management, quality and integrity, process automation, and analytic techniquesCreates reports which are clear and easy to understand for both internal and external stakeholdersEXPERIENCE EDUCATION LICENSURE CERTIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree with a focus in Risk Management, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or related disciplineWorking in an insurer, healthcare system claims, or related insurance industry consulting services firm with a comprehensive understanding of insurance claims data visualization and storytelling5
years of experience in insurance claims data analytics preferredIntellectual curiosity about data and the ability to identify and understand patterns and clearly articulate the impact to various stakeholdersExperience querying data to utilize in downstream analyticsUnderstanding of statistical-based methods to measure/quantify in data analytics (eg, average/mean, median, ratios, correlation)Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to effectively and efficiently resolve complex problemsIntermediate to advanced Excel skills for analyzing data (eg, writing formulas, creating pivot tables, manipulating data)Knowledge of MS Office applications and understanding of basic computer programming conceptsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to manage complex work streams and projects and gain the confidence and respect of senior-level executivesProven business acumen and a superb relationship building track recordAbility to thrive in ambiguity and changeReady to explore this outstanding career opportunity? The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
