Job Summary The Director leads the development and execution of strategy to define and drive enterprise public policy and federal affair priorities and is responsible for demonstrating Allstate's business, societal and public policy leadership to help build reputation capital and grow the business.
The Director collaborates with clients on strategy, action plans, and other communications.
The position is a key business partner in high complexity/sensitivity matters for internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Identify, develop and maintain enterprise-level public policy and federal affair positions and associated materials for various stakeholders Partner with internal state and federal legislative and regulatory advocates to ensure policy clarity, consistency and horizon scanning Monitor, consult, and lead on issues through the trade association Strategically influence trade association activities Monitor, consult, and lead on legislative and regulatory developments Monitor, consult, and lead on business initiatives and interests, insurance, investments, tax, HR, benefits, privacy, etc.
Provide highest level government affairs advice to business partners Attend and participate legislative events related to political contributions, as appropriate Preferred Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree or equivalent; May also have advanced degree 12 or more years of related experience Certificates, Licenses, Registrations None Functional Skills Advanced written and oral communication skills Advanced negotiation and mediation skills Intermediate to advanced change management skills Intermediate to advanced researching skills Intermediate to advanced computer skills Insurance, financial, legal, or compliance industry experience Analytical and detail oriented Advanced budget and financial management skills; advanced forecasting, planning, and resource management skills Good Work.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
