00The Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) whose mission is to enhance the fiscal and financial stability, accountability and integrity of the Government of the District of Columbia is in search of a Communication Specialist (Term).
This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of Tax and Revenue (OTR), Office of the Deputy Chief Financial Officer (DCFO).
The incumbent is responsible for assisting the Public Affairs Specialist with promoting the Office of Tax and Revenue's Modernized Integrated Tax System and Taxpayer Access Portal (TAP) among District individuals and business taxpayers by generating awareness of and educating them on the benefits of the new portal.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Providing internal and external communication services such as serving as a writer, copy editor and researcher of various documents such as brochures, pamphlets, and internal websites and social media platformsPerforming other related duties as assignedMinimum
Qualifications:
Two (2) years of progressive experience to include editing, writing, and researching various documents such as brochures, pamphlets, and internal and external websites; knowledge of visual design and display; and MS Office Suite.
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
