Internal Communications Coordinator

About the Program:
The Internal Communications team works with leadership and a broad range of internal stakeholders to inform, engage and connect over 1,800 WRI staff members across our global network.
The Internal Communications function sits within the Core Communications team, which oversees WRI's global communications strategy and outreach to expand the organization's reach, reputation and impact.
Job Highlight:
You will help develop and implement WRI's internal communications strategy to keep the global network informed, connected and engaged.
You will also support content management and training for WRI's intranet platform.
The Internal Communications Officer reports to the Senior Manager of Internal Communications and works with WRI leadership and teams to guide strategic communications about policies, processes and change initiatives, organize staff meetings, manage staff newsletters, develop messaging, and support internal rollouts.
What will you do:
Delivery of internal communications (75%):
Develop communication plans and draft messages for internal initiatives and announcements Work with leadership and teams (HR, DEI, Operations, Finance, IT) to improve adoption and understanding of polices, systems and processes Manage production of internal newsletters.
Support production of global and office-wide staff meetings Create and edit high-quality content for internal audiences Ensure internal communications are inclusive, respectful and align with WRI values Maintain calendar of internal communications to ensure coordination across the institute Cultivate and coordinate with an emerging global internal communications network across WRI's geographies Support and train global staff on internal communications best practices, tools and techniques Support administration and improvement of systems related to internal communications.
Participate in committees Intranet content management (25%):
Draft, edit and post content for Banyan, WRI's intranet platform Coordinate and support Banyan content owners across the organization in the maintenance and upkeep of their team sites Provide training and resources to Banyan content owners and users Work with full Banyan team to implement system changes to enhance user experience What will you need:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in relevant field
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of work experience Excellent writing, editing and oral communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills with strong cultural sensitivity and respect for others; Experience working collaboratively and driving consensus Experience in delivering high-quality communications products Experience in managing projects Adaptability and demonstrated ability in managing multiple projects Experience with SharePoint / Microsoft 365 systems preferred Experience with content management systems (e.
g.
, WordPress, Drupal) preferred; Knowledge of HTML and CSS a plus; Graphic design experience a plus Interest in environmental and development issues, and commitment to WRI's mission and values Existing work authorization is required where this position is based.

Salary is commensurate with experience and other compensable factors.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
