Customs and Border Protection (CBP), coordinating social media content and campaigns on behalf of INA senior leadership and international operations.
This will require you to identify and recommend specific strategic communication strategies and target audiences to support CBP's international operations and strategic communication objectives.

Developing modern and engaging media content and maintaining an established social media program and utilizing social media tools and techniques to advance the mission and vision of INA and CBP.
Developing expert graphics and videos using graphic design skills and Adobe programs, including infographics and videos and expert photos at INA events.
Managing the day-to-day writing and editing communication materials such as articles, newsletters, internal and external website content, news releases, brochures, pamphlets, communication plans, talking points, and scripts.

Benefits:
Depending upon whether you are qualified and are hired at either the GS-11 or 12 grade level (see Qualifications section below) your salary will range from $78,592.
00 (GS-11, Step 1) to $122,459.
00 (GS-12, Step 10) with promotion potential to $145,617.
00 (GS-13 Step 10).

Qualifications:
Experience:
You qualify for the GS-11 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:
Writing, editing, and posting social media content on behalf of a government agency on multiple social media platforms.
Leading development and delivery of communication products such as external website content, talking points, newsletters, leadership communications, social media content, graphic design, scripts, and video development.
Participating in the planning, coordination, and execution of in-person official events and visits.
Experience:
You qualify for the GS-12 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:
Managing multiple social media accounts across multiple social media platforms for a large US agency or company.
Managing development and delivery of communication products such as external website content, talking points, newsletters, leadership communications, social media content, graphic design, scripts and video development.
Communicating orally and in writing with the news media, both print and broadcast, elected officials, both local and national, specialized and general publics.
Evaluating strategic communication issues in the context of organizational goals, and designs and/or oversees communication strategies, tailoring them to fit the uniqueness of various audiences to deal with specific problems.
Participating in the planning, coordination, and execution of in-person official events and visits, to include leading on communication needs for the events and visits.
Education Substitution, GS-11:
You may substitute a Ph.
D.
or an equivalent doctoral degree, or three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or an LL.
M.
for experience at the GS-11 grade level.
Such education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university.
