Job DescriptionEPRI's Critical Power Program is seeking a cleared Sr.
Electrical Engineer that will provide power systems expertise to support the design and operation of electric power systems which supply critical loads.
What you will get to do:
Develop, design and specify power system components and systems to support information technology (IT) and communications equipment that requires a high degree of reliability and quality of power.
Establish operations, maintenance, and support requirements for critical power systems.
Evaluate testing and measurement data to ensure that the electrical systems are performing as desired and in compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
On an infrequent basis, travel to remote sites to provide technical support.
Provide technical training on various electrical engineering topics related to the design and operation of low-voltage (LV), medium-voltage (MV) and high-voltage (HV) power systems.
Perform research and development (R&D) of novel low-voltage and medium-voltage power system designs and technologies.
Provide engineering support and solutions to technical challenges that arise on a daily basis over a broad range of electrical engineering topics.
Perform power system analysis using software tools like EMTP-RV, PowerWorld, OpenDSS, MATLAB, etc.
Provides assistance to the EPRI sales staff in Member Services and EPRI International.
Broaden technical expertise and interface with national and international technical networks with manufacturers, consultants, and academia and research organizations.
Communicates strategies and results, written and verbal, to program members, potential members and external stakeholders through guidelines, reports, meetings, webcasts, workshops and conferences.
Manages small or medium (less complex) projects including budgets and resources.
Education:
BSEE degree from an ABET accredited college/university or equivalent experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Active TS or Q security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility and 5-7 or more years of R&D project experience Knowledge of design, installation, operation and maintenance of MV and/or LV power systems.
Knowledge of LV wiring systems and design.
Knowledge of the NEC is a plus.
Knowledge of power quality phenomenon including electrical transients, harmonics and flicker Knowledge of LV surge protection design and grounding systems Knowledge of uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), standby generators, automatic throwover switches (ATS) and power distribution units.
Experience with this equipment is a plus.
Knowledge of power system analysis basics, including but not limited to symmetrical components, short circuit analysis, power flow analysis, electric machines and power electronics.
Excellent written and communication skills.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
