UC Specialist with Security Clearance
What You Will Be Doing Tyto Athene is looking for a Unified Communications (UC) Specialist to support a critical initiative to modernize our Federal Law Enforcement Customers legacy telephony systems to an enterprise-class VoIP and Unified Communications solution across all CONUS location Responsibilities Plan and oversee the installation and maintenance of unified communications hardware and network Maintains data network equipment and services to ensure working order and demand availability by performing scheduled, routine on-line test and by checking, adjusting, or replacing equipment to established standards Coordinating project team members and developing schedules and individual responsibilities Conducting risk assessments for projects Monitoring project progress and implementing change where necessary Ensuring compliance with objectives, organizational policies, procedures, and standard Other Duties as Assigned Skills Required Experience resolving complex service problems, performing expert maintenance and installs, configuring and testing all types of telecommunications equipment and services.
Experience troubleshooting network hardware using test instruments and monitoring and diagnostic programs.
Experience preparing telecommunications equipment for installation by testing, calibrating, or modifying equipment as required.
Experience maintaining data network equipment and services to ensure working order and demand availability by performing scheduled, routine on-line test and by checking, adjusting, or replacing equipment to established standards.
Architecture and technical support documentation skills Education and Certifications:
BS or equivalent experience with telecommunications services.
Avaya Certification desired At least (3) years of experience on VOIP projects.
Working Conditions Must be able to work in cramped spaces.
Must be willing to work at customer site in Washington DC.
Must be willing to travel to CONUS locations at least one week a month.
