Little-to-no acute care nursing experience Out of acute care nursing practice for 3 years or more The Transition to Acute Care RN Program provides RNs who are interested in refreshing and refocusing their nursing career in acute care additional education, orientation time and support to help them be successful in our ACU.
Clinical experiences with didactic education and simulation will prepare and nurture RNs who are looking to either enter the acute care setting for the first time, or return after an absence.

assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
They promote continuity of care to ensure that patient needs and expected outcomes are met.
As a member of the team, a med/surg RN must be comfortable delegating and supervising support nursing staff who participates in the provision of care.
