If so, then we invite you to read onABOUT THIS ROLE StMichael's is hiring a Financial Manager Journeyman to support a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) clientAs the Financial Manager Journeyman, you will serve as a team lead performing substantive testing on existing open obligations, provide support with obligation lifecycle management and reimbursable program management, and resolving audit and internal control issues associated with budgetary accountingYou will be in a client-facing role that will benefit from your previous Financial Analysis and Audit Readiness experienceOur core value of Excellence in Reputation will be paramount to this role as you will perform internal testing of UDO balances and report findings and results directly to the client LOCATION Hybrid - Remote and Washington, D.CWHO YOU AREo Must have a bachelor's degree in accounting or bachelor's degree with an active Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license.o Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) certification may be substituted for the CPA requirement.o 7 years of relevant work experience (5 of which must be federal government work experience).o Experience auditing federal agencies' financial statements or performing Audit Readiness work in the Department of Homeland Security as a government employee or contractor directly in support of an audit readiness task order.o Familiar with internal controls testing and reporting practices.o Experience supporting USCG/DHS, especially in a finance/accounting capacity, is a plusWHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT? The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
