Job Title:
Member Services Representative/Teller II Non-Exempt (Overtime eligible) The MSR / Teller II provides superior customer service through a variety of member service functions including processing account and loan transactions.
This role proactively cross-sells the Credit Union's services.
In addition, responds to questions, provides information upon request from members (internal and external) and engages so they understand and utilize the available products and services.
This position serves as a positive model to and supports new MSR/Tellers.
Other duties include:
assists with end of day balancing , finding MSR/Teller differences and verifying cash totals.
This role may be required to:
balance the ATM and vault, open and close the branch, and occasionally work at other local TFCU locations.
This is an essential role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Receives and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments; sells money orders and cashier's checks to members; transfers amounts from member accounts as directed.
Maintains accurate, count, record, and secure control of cash and other negotiable instruments at all times.
Processes member transactions accurately and efficiently with minimal errors.
Inputs loan documentation and ensures information is accurate and complete information.
Practices dual control.
Assists members with opening and closing accounts, answers questions about products and services and resolves problems that are within their authority to resolve.
Processes members loan applications and disburse funds.
Refers problems that are beyond their authority to their supervisor, along with their recommendations.
Greets members and others entering the branch and determines how they may be assisted.
Provides prompt, accurate, courteous, friendly, timely and professional service to all members.
Issues/Replaces debit/credit/Visa card and PIN for members.
Onboards potential new members so they understand and appreciate the value offered by the credit union.
Develop and improve knowledge and skills in Member Service areas.
Educate members on the benefits of TFCU and recommend products or services that fits their needs.
Identifies cross-sell opportunities and cross-sells services to members.
Educate existing and new members on products and services provided by TFCU.
Ensures that appropriate records are maintained and required reports are prepared.
Maintain confidentiality of account and member information, monitors, assembles, and restocks all branch supplies and forms (Truth & Savings disclosures, brochures, new member packets, deposit slips, etc.
) Adhere to credit union policies and procedures; stays knowledgeable of and complies with applicable laws and regulations, including BSA/AML and OFAC.
Completes required annual training.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
