Salamander Washington DC Salamander Washington DC Washington, DC Washington, DC Full-time Full-time $75,000 a year $75,000 a year POSITION OBJECTIVE To assist and oversee the housekeeping and laundry department, ensuring at all times the team is performing at the highest standards of service.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Responsible for assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning of the departments.
Assists with the compiling of the weekly schedules and managing the departmental payroll.
Assists with the hiring and training of all new colleagues.
Responsible for all coach and counselling of the department Ensuring Forbes 5 Star standards are met and maintained.
Will conduct regular inspections of the hotel to ensure adherence to cleanliness and maintenance standards, this includes all public areas throughout the hotel.
Assists with operating expenses to maximize costs within the budget / forecast while providing excellent guest services.
Oversees daily operational line ups both AM and PM and monthly communication meetings.
Assist Housekeeping Operations Managers with the departmental audits and role plays.

Will oversee the turndown operations.
Will assist with the purchasing of all new equipment when needed and will ensure that the necessary training is provided.
Assisting with day-to-day operations and communicating effectively with Front of House Leaders.
Will be responsible for the maintaining of current linens par levels and any other operational needs.
Will meet on weekly basis with the Director of Housekeeping EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE High school or equivalent education required.
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Minimum two years management experience with at least two years in housekeeping management.
Union experience preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
