To further Blue Origin's mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.
As part of a diverse and hardworking team of engineers, you will contribute to the definition and development of spacecraft thermal control systems.
You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced and often uncertain environment, contributing to innovative solutions, while demonstrating personal leadership, technical competence, and attention to detail.
You will play a key role in developing the Lunar Transportation system that will return humans to the Moon and extend human presence permanently beyond the bounds of Earth.

Responsibilities:
Participate as technical evaluation committee chair for Thermal design reviews of lunar landers and other spacecraft programs at Blue OriginRepresent the company and project with key customers and partnersProvide peer review to thermal design and analysis productsProvide technical recommendations to multiple established spacecraft thermal design and analysis teamsProvide oversight and design review to our National Team Partners as part of the Human Landing System (HLS) Sustaining Lunar Development (SLD) programContribute to Blue Origin spacecraft Thermal design best practices and compile design guidelinesEvaluate potential payloads/missions for vehicles in various stages of developmentLead tiger teams to focus efforts on challenging vehicle and subsystem level issuesCreate training programs for new Thermal engineers based on internal and external resources.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Minimum of a B.
S.
degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering20
years relevant Thermal Engineering/Analysis experienceProven experience as a spacecraft thermal subject matter expert or Chief EngineerExpertise with both passive and active thermal control systems including thermal/fluids componentsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience with development in mission and safety-critical environments.
Experience in full life-cycle development of spacecraft and / or satellite flight systemsAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
Ability to gain literacy in Jira and Confluence tools used for decision making and programmatic trackingMust be a U.
