DutiesAs a Supervisory IT Specialist, you will:Serve as a recognized expert who advises the executive-level and top management officials in the areas of on-line data systems, desktop applications, work-related Internet applications, and structured programming and analysis needed to meet user requirements.Provide strategic leadership of project planning to ensure the integration of complex, diverse system requirements.Manage the design, development, maintenance, and administration of EERE custom applications, including SharePoint, Cognos data warehouse and central reporting environment, enterprise search engine, intranet platform, and others.Provide expert advice about emerging technologies and the use of advanced IT resources to streamline EERE business processes and operations.Represent the OBSM Director and DAS-O at major IT-related symposia and professional meetings,
workshops, and other highly-visible activities.Assure end-to-end network and telecommunications operations and maintenance services to ensure connectivity of all installed networks for EERE sites.Requirements Conditions of EmploymentYou must be a United States Citizen.This employer participates in the e-Verify program.Males must abide by Selective Service registration requirements.Subject to satisfactory security and suitability requirements.May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.This position does not support 100% remote work. Failure to test or a positive result on random drug tests conducted after appointment may result in removal from Federal employment.This position has been designated as Critical-Sensitive and requires a security clearance at the High Risk - Q level. The incumbent is required to obtain and maintain this clearance; failure to do so may result in separation from federal service.Position will require occasional travel.This position is not included in a Bargaining Unit. QualificationsBASIC REQUIREMENT:
Individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.In addition to the above, individuals must meet the specialized experience listed below:SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-14) in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following:Partnering with the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) on issues of broad scope and complexity, such as Information Technology (IT) investments and usage, reporting and organizational compliance, and cybersecurity. Providing oversight of the Information Technology (IT) systems usage and policies to ensure compliance. Participating in organizational budget reviews to negotiate with vendors, partners, labs, or other government organizations to deliver capabilities in a cost-effective manner. Developing Information Technology (IT) solutions that create operational efficiencies and increase the integrity and quality of an office's information and data management. Performing quality control throughout the Information Technology (IT) systems project development to maintain the standards expected.

Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
