Job Description
Summary:
Disability Support Services (DSS) at the George Washington University recognizes disability in the context of diversity. We work collaboratively with students, faculty and staff across the campus to foster a climate of universal academic excellence, while also promoting disability culture and GW s broader diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Reporting to the Associate Director for Assistive Technology, the Program Specialist is responsible for the following:
- Coordinate American Sign Language (ASL) and Communication Access Real-time Translation (CART) scheduling for courses and DSS-supported events.
- Manage agency invoices and other details (such as coordination with faculty, last-minute cancellations, student questions, etc.) to ensure service delivery.
- Support CART administrative duties by collaborating with DSS staff and vendors as necessary.
- Assist with data management and assistive technology tasks.
- Provide support for other office duties as needed.
