MRI Technologist, Clinical Supervisor

Join an energetic, patient-focused team! MedStar Radiology Network is currently seeking an experienced MRI Technologist, Clinical Supervisor for a Full-time position at our outpatient imaging center located at Lafayette Center in Washington, DC. This position covers MRI for the evening shift 2:30pm - 11pm Monday - Friday. The position is 80% clinical patient care and 20% clinical leadership for the MRI Department.

Summary:
Under the direction of the Administrator, Clinical Manager, or Dir. of Center Operations, the Clinical Supervisor:
Supervises and coordinates clinical operations of specific areas of the Imaging Department including, but not limited to, equipment, personnel, scheduling, financial, and customer service functions. Must be skilled & qualified to perform the job duties for areas they manage.
Ensures services are performed in a safe environment in accordance with established guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Serves as part of the imaging center team and seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice.
Requirements:
Experience:
Must have five years experience working in medical imaging. Must have knowledge of all areas of department functions as needed for supervision of staff.
EDUCATION:
Graduate of an accredited program in Radiology, Nuclear Medicine technology, or equivalent in experience.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice. BLS certification within first 60 days of hire. Radiologic Technologists must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography and maintain current valid registration from ARRT. Must also hold an advanced registration through ARRT in another modality or obtain it within their first 12 months of employment.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Skill in operation of radiographic equipment as well as applicable ancillary equipment.
Ability to work independently and multitask.
Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
Demonstrates understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology.
Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.
