Job Overview
The Senior Program Coordinator for Biomedical Graduate Education supports the academic, instructional, student life, admissions and administrative aspects of the graduate programs in Doctor of Philosophy in Neuroscience and Master of Science in Integrative Neuroscience.
They are responsible for the coordination of approximately 70
graduate students across the programs - including but not limited to assisting with recruitment and admissions; monitoring the academic progress of all graduate students in the programs listed above; monitoring merit-based aid, alumni and career services outreach efforts, program administration, including faculty and program support; and organizing special events for program purposes.
Work Interactions and Work Mode Designation
Reporting directly to all the Directors of Graduate Studies in the two programs, the Senior Program Coordinator works closely with The Office of Biomedical Graduate Education (BGE) including admissions, student services, recruitment and career services, and communications, Office of the Registrar, and Office of Global Services.
This position has been designated as Hybrid. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University. Requirements and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

3
years of academic administration experience - preferably in the biomedical sciences field

A collaborative and transparent leadership style, cultural awareness and agility, and the ability to build trust and credibility

Experience working with diverse faculty, student, and trainee populations

Demonstrated ability to work productively - both independently and as part of a team

Excellent time management skills and experience managing multiple projects/tasks with conflicting deadlines

Well-developed organizational skills, advanced communication skills, and excellent problem-solving skills

Keen attention to detail

Knowledge of research training programs and graduate students training

Experience organizing events and programming for faculty and students

Proficient with MS office (e.g., Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and online collaboration tools (e.g., Google Docs, Dropbox)

Website management experience

Scheduling and teleconferencing software skills - i.e., Zoom, Google Calendar, Doodle Poll
