The Telecommunications Specialist assists team members in ensuring the operation of telecommunications systems/equipment and providing technical support and training. Specifically, the incumbent provides customer assistance to Court personnel as required including the use of both desktop and wireless devices and the utilization of fax equipment, conference phones, and secure lines. The incumbent drafts/updates procedures and regulations for systems operations and is responsible for systems/equipment maintenance, inventory control, and recordkeeping. The Telecommunications Specialist also performs market research to identify telecommunications solutions for the organization. The incumbent coordinates as necessary to upgrade, repair or otherwise modify telecommunications services to meet challenging requirements or to improve efficiency or effectiveness.
High school diploma required. College education preferred. A minimum of three years' experience in the operation/maintenance of telecommunications administrative systems required. Experience with providing excellent customer service required. Proficiency with Internet and Microsoft Office products is also required. Must demonstrate knowledge of wireless handheld devices, desktop and other office equipment, voice administration services, operation/administration of telecommunications switching systems, electronic digital console equipment, and telecommunications circuitry. Must possess sound judgment, the ability to communicate technical details at a variety of levels and the ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of individuals at all levels of the organization.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
