Job Title:Mainframe Programmer
Work Location:Washington, DC
Length of Position:3 month contract to hire
Education Requirements:Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Job Description:
Minimum 5 years experience with IBM mainframe and environment, COBOL, IBM's Job Control Language, programming, DB2 and Assembler required.
Minimum 3 years experience with IBM's CICS/TS and/or IMS/TM DB
Minimum 2 years experience programming in COBOL
Minimum 2 years experience programming in Assembler
Prefer experience with CLIST, REXX and coding ISPF
Experience working with relational databases to facilitate programming software
Exposure to Source Management Products
System programming experience a plus
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to create technical documentation
Strong analytical and problem solving skills for designing, creation and testing of programs
Ability to work as part of team and independently
