Job Description:
Experienced Patent Agent sought for fast-paced, exciting work environment. This position participates as a team member in our Intellectual Property Counseling and Transactions Group on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications, with an emphasis on Electrical Engineering, and related client counseling.
Responsibilities:
Assist in evaluation, preparation and prosecution of patents and patent applications
Provide support for patent enforcement, licensing and business transactions
Perform infringement and validity analysis and general portfolio management
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's and advanced degrees in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Science; post-doctoral research experience a plus
Minimum of three years of patent prosecution experience, preferably working at a law firm
Registration to practice before the US Patent & Trademark Office
Strong computer and internet research skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize projects on competing deadlines
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, and demonstrated professionalism
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
