Associate Corporate Counsel, Product Safety and Compliance

Amazon's Legal Department is looking for an experienced products safety and compliance attorney to support our Consumer and Operations businesses.
This is a unique opportunity to help us raise the bar on safety across our stores, including for retail, private brands and third party seller consumer products.
You will be part of a larger team responsible for counseling cross functional business teams, including, retail and compliance teams, on products regulatory and compliance matters.
Principal duties include (i) providing day-to-day advice on regulations concerning the sale of billions of consumer products sold in our stores; (ii) monitoring and advising retail and compliance teams on upcoming regulatory changes; (iii) formulating, implementing, and maintaining applicable regulatory compliance policies and processes; and (iv) providing mission critical legal advice on the design of safety mechanisms such as recalls tools.
The qualified candidate must have two or more years of legal experience advising on products compliance issues as well as experience with Consumer Product Safety Commission standards and regulations.
The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, enjoy working hard, being challenged, team-oriented and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
